Man, you won’t believe what I did last weekend. I was glued to the screen, watching the BMW Championship. That Viktor Hovland, what a guy! He totally smashed it, shot a course record 61. But that’s not even the best part. After he won, I noticed something shiny on his wrist. I’m a bit of a watch nerd, so I had to find out what it was.
I hit up Google, started digging around. Turns out, this dude’s wearing an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar. Sounds fancy, right? It is. I mean, this thing is a serious piece of wrist candy. We’re talking top-tier luxury watch here.
So, I’m scrolling through these watch forums, and apparently, Viktor’s been an ambassador for Audemars Piguet since way back in 2019. Makes sense, the guy’s got style. And this watch? It’s not your everyday watch. I read somewhere it’s crafted in pink gold, making the watch a masterpiece.
Now, get this – if you’re lucky enough to find one of these at a dealer, it’s gonna set you back around 78 grand. 78 GRAND! For a watch! I nearly choked on my coffee when I read that. And that’s if you buy it from a dealer. I saw some posts saying they go for even more on the secondary market. Crazy, right?
I kept digging, because, well, I was obsessed at this point. I found out there are different versions of this Royal Oak. Some are made of white ceramic. All of them are probably super expensive.

Honestly, it just blew my mind. This young golfer, winning big tournaments, and he’s got this insane watch on his wrist. It’s like a whole other level of success.
Anyway, I spent way too much time reading about this watch, but it was a fun little rabbit hole to go down. Makes you appreciate the finer things, you know? Even if they’re way, way out of my price range!
I also came across this website that tracks what watches celebrities wear, and they had a whole page dedicated to Viktor Hovland’s watches. I didn’t even know that was a thing! People are really into this stuff.
It is such a cool watch. I guess that’s what happens when you’re a top athlete sponsored by a luxury brand. You get to wear some pretty sweet gear.
In the end, I probably spent like, 3-4 hours just reading about this one watch. It’s a little ridiculous when I think about it, but hey, it was interesting! I definitely learned something new about the world of luxury watches. And it gave me something to daydream about. Maybe one day, right?
