Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this idea about who would win in a fight between Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones. It’s been bugging me for a while now, and I finally decided to dive deep into it.
I started by watching a ton of their fights. Like, a LOT. I replayed Ngannou’s knockout of Overeem so many times, my girlfriend started to get worried. That punch is just insane! Then I went over all of Jones’ title defenses. The guy is a legend for a reason, you know? He’s so slick and technical. It’s like watching a martial arts movie.
- I jotted down notes on their strengths and weaknesses.
- Compared their records, who they’ve beaten, how they’ve won, all that stuff.
- Even tried to imagine how a fight between them would actually go down.
It’s a tough one, man. Ngannou has that crazy power. I read somewhere that Dana White said his punch is like getting hit by a Ford Escort at full speed. Can you believe that? He has the world record for punching power. He also has so many insane knockouts, Alistair Overeem, Velasquez, Curtis Blaydes and Miocic, all got taken down by him. On the other hand, Jones is a master strategist. He’s got that reach, those kicks, and he’s a beast on the ground.
I spent hours debating this with my buddies. Some were all in on Ngannou, saying his power would be too much for Jones. Others were convinced Jones would find a way to win, like he always does. I kept going back and forth, changing my mind every other day.
Then, I stumbled upon some talk about a possible cross-promotion fight. That got me even more hyped! Imagined the two of them in the same ring, finally settling the score. It would be the biggest fight in history, no doubt.
After all this, I’m still not 100% sure who would win. It’s such a close call. But one thing’s for sure, I’d pay good money to see that fight. It would be epic! I know Ngannou really wants this fight, and he also thinks Jones wants it as well. I also heard that Ngannou said he could defeat Jones. Man, if Jones wins against Miocic in November, this cross-promotion fight might really happen. It would be one of the biggest events in MMA history.
For now, I’ll just keep dreaming and rewatching their fights. And hey, maybe one day, we’ll get to see Ngannou vs. Jones for real. Fingers crossed!
