Diving into the Game
- First Game: I threw him into my Ultimate Team squad right away. First game in, I’m trying to get a feel for him. He’s got a 4-star skill rating and a 3-star weak foot, and he’s left-footed. Not bad, not bad. I quickly found his strength and height make him a monster in the air, so I start lobbing crosses his way. Boom, first game, first goal. A beautiful header.
- Next Few Games: I start experimenting more. He’s not the most agile player, but he makes up for it with his raw power. I’m talking about serious power. I noticed defenders just bounce off him when I shield the ball. And his shooting? Forget about it. I started lining him up for shots outside the box, and he’s burying them. Left foot, right foot, doesn’t matter, although his left is definitely stronger.
Adjustments and Strategy
After a while, I realized I needed to tweak my play style a bit to really make the most of him. I started using him as a target man, playing balls into his feet, letting him hold it up, and then laying it off to my wingers. That’s where he really shines. He’s not just a goal scorer; he’s a playmaker too. Then I learned that he had played six senior sides before 21 years old, from 2015, he started at Bryne 2, then Bryne, Molde 2 and finally Molde.
Final Thoughts
All in all, this Haaland card is a game-changer. It took me a bit to get used to him, but once I figured out how to use him properly, it was over for my opponents.
