Okay, so today I decided to dive into the world of Sumeru enemies in Genshin Impact. I’ve been putting it off for a while, but with the new areas, I figured it was time to get familiar with the new baddies.

First thing I did was, obviously, boot up the game. Gotta be logged in to experience the pain, right?
Getting My Butt Kicked (Initial Encounters)
I teleported straight to Sumeru City, figured I’d just wander around and see what I ran into. And boy, did I run into stuff. Almost immediately, I stumbled upon these mushroom-looking guys. They seemed chill at first, but then BAM! One of them turned into this angry, spinning top of death and totally wrecked my Yanfei.
So, lesson one: don’t underestimate the shrooms.
Experimenting with Teams
After respawning (and feeling a little sorry for myself), I decided to switch up my team. I figured I needed some Electro to deal with those mushroom fellas. Brought in Raiden Shogun, and that seemed to do the trick. At least, I wasn’t dying as quickly.
I also ran into these weird, floating, jellyfish-like things. They were annoying, shooting projectiles all over the place. I tried using Ganyu to snipe them from afar, but they kept dodging. Finally, I switched to Yoimiya and her homing arrows – much better!
- Mushroom guys = Electro (Raiden worked for me)
- Jellyfish things= Homing attacks(Yoimya for the win!)
The Big Guys (Bosses)
Then came the real challenge – the bosses. I tried fighting that giant, mechanical-looking chicken thing (Jadeplume Terrorshroom). I’d seen some guides online, but man, it was still tough! Took me a few tries (and a lot of food) to finally take it down.
I spent the next few hours I just exploring and fighting, getting a feel for the different enemies. I made notes of their attack patterns, weaknesses, and which of my characters worked best against them.
It was a lot of trial and error, lots of dying, and some frustrated yelling, I also found that Eremite peoples, and I used Nahida to beat them.

Wrapping Up
By the end of my gaming session, I felt like I had a decent grasp of the Sumeru enemies. Still not an expert, by any means, but at least I wasn’t getting completely destroyed every five seconds. I’m going to go back to the game and have fun!
