Alright, so today I was just chilling, right? And this question popped into my head: “how many gold medals does LeBron actually have?” I mean, we all know he’s a baller, but what’s the Olympic gold count looking like?
First thing I did? Straight to Google. Typed in “lebron james gold medals,” quick and dirty. Didn’t wanna spend all day on this.
The search results gave me the quick answer right away: he’s got two. Two gold medals. Not bad, right?
But, me being me, I wasn’t gonna just take that at face value. I needed to see it, y’know? Needed a little proof. So, I clicked on a couple of the news articles that popped up. ESPN, Bleacher Report, the usual suspects. All saying the same thing: Two golds.
Then I thought, “Okay, but when did he win these?” Couldn’t just leave it at that. Went back to the search bar and added “Olympics” to my search: “lebron james olympics gold medals”.
That gave me a bunch of articles detailing his Olympic appearances. Turns out he played in three Olympics: 2004 (bronze, bummer), 2008 (gold!), and 2012 (another gold!). So that confirmed the two golds and told me the years.
Just to be extra sure, I even checked the official Olympics website. Searched for “LeBron James” on there. It listed his appearances and the medals he won. Solidified everything. Two golds, baby!
So, yeah, that was my little investigation. Found out LeBron’s got two Olympic gold medals. Quick and easy. Time well spent? Probably not, but now I know. And now you know too!
