Alright, so you wanna know what this “yeet” thing is all about in that wrestling stuff, the WWE? I tell ya, these young folks and their words! But lemme break it down for ya the way I understand it, ya hear?
What’s this “Yeet” thing, huh?
Well, from what I gather, this “yeet” word is like when you throw somethin’. Yeah, just throw it! But not like you’re bein’ all careful with it, nah. You “yeet” somethin’ when you don’t give a hoot if it breaks or not. Like chuckin’ an old shoe out the window, ya know? That’s a “yeet” if I ever saw one.
Who’s “Yeetin’” in the WWE?
- Jey Uso: Now, this fella, Jey Uso, he’s the one yellin’ “YEET!” all the time. Seems like his favorite word, I reckon. Heard he started sayin’ it when he was with that Bloodline group. Don’t ask me what that is, some kinda wrestlin’ gang or somethin’. They interviewed him, and he said… well, I don’t rightly remember, but it’s important to him.
- Jimmy Uso: This is Jey’s brother, I think. He says “yeet” too sometimes, but that big boss fella, Roman Reigns, he shut him up. Guess he didn’t want too much “yeetin’” goin’ on, huh? Can’t have everyone yellin’ all the time, I suppose.
- Roman Reigns: And speaking of that Roman fella, even *he* said “yeet” once! Can you believe it? That’s like the preacher swearin’, I tell ya! Must’ve been a big deal for folks to be talkin’ about it.
So, Why “Yeet” in Wrestling?
Now, why they’re “yeetin’” in wrestling, that’s a good question. I guess it’s ’cause they throw each other around a lot, right? All that slammin’ and jumpin’ and whatnot. So, maybe “yeet” just fits. It’s like sayin’ “I’m gonna throw you so hard!” but shorter and, well, sillier. These wrestlers, they like to show off and get the crowd goin’, so yellin’ “YEET!” while you’re tossin’ someone around probably does the trick.
It’s Just a Word, Don’t Overthink It
Honestly, I think these youngsters just like the way it sounds. It’s fun to say, I guess. YEET! See? Kinda catchy, right? Like when you were a kid and you made up silly words, only now they’re doin’ it on TV. Don’t go lookin’ for some deep meanin’, ’cause you probably won’t find it. It’s just a word they use to have fun and get the crowd riled up. And if it gets those young folks watchin’ wrestling, well, I guess it’s doin’ its job.
“Yeet” Outside of Wrestling
Now, I hear this “yeet” word is used outside of wrestling too. Kids these days, they use it for all sorts of things. Throwing a ball? Yeet! Dropping somethin’? Yeet! Dancin’ funny? Yeet! Seems like it can mean just about anythin’, as long as it involves some kinda movement or action. It’s like that “cool” word back in my day, just gets slapped onto anythin’ and everythin’!
In Conclusion…
So, there you have it. “Yeet” in WWE is just a fancy word for throwin’ somethin’ or somebody around, usually without much care. It’s Jey Uso’s thing mostly, but other wrestlers say it too. It’s a way to get the crowd excited and add a little somethin’ extra to the show. And don’t worry if you don’t fully get it, half the time I don’t get these young folks neither. Just nod along and maybe yell “YEET!” every now and then, you’ll fit right in. Maybe. Or maybe they’ll just think you’re a crazy old lady… either way, what does it matter, as long as I know what’s going on. Ha!
And now you know too, so there’s that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go see if there’s anything worth “yeetin’” around here…
