Okay, so, I saw this thing online about a datamined model for a Genshin character, Capitano, and I just had to check it out. I’m no expert, but I love digging around in game files when I can.
First things first, I needed to find the files. This took a bit of searching around, looking on some forums and stuff. There are these communities dedicated to datamining, and it’s pretty wild what they uncover. Eventually, I found a place talking about the leak and managed to get my hands on the actual file.
Once I got the file, the next challenge was figuring out how to open it. I mean, it’s not like you can just double-click it. It needs to be viewed with a compatible tool. I use a free model viewer that I got from the same friendly data miner.
So, I fired up the model viewer and it looks pretty amazing! From the design, it seems like the final version that will be released in-game. So cool. I’m very happy about that.
