Okay, so I had this idea buzzing around in my head the other day. I was watching some wrestling, you know, just chilling out, and Kevin Owens was on. And I just started wondering, what does this guy actually look like without that massive beard he’s always got?
It’s like, his signature look, right? So my brain just got stuck on it. Curiosity, I guess.
Getting Started
First thing I did was hop online. Tried searching around to see if anyone had already done a good job of showing him clean-shaven. Found a couple of pictures, but honestly, they looked kinda fake. Like bad photoshop jobs, you know? Didn’t really satisfy that itch.
So I thought, alright, maybe I can try this myself. I’m not exactly a whiz with editing software, but I have a simple tool on my laptop. Found a clear picture of KO where his face was pretty well lit. Figured that would be the easiest one to work with.
The Fiddly Bit
Man, it was trickier than I thought it’d be. Getting rid of the beard itself wasn’t too bad, just kinda erasing or painting over it. But then you’re left with this blank space. You gotta figure out what his jawline and chin actually look like underneath all that hair. No one really knows!
Trying to make it look real
- I started by trying to copy bits of skin texture from his forehead or cheeks and pasting it over the beard area.
- That looked super weird at first. Very unnatural. Like a plastic doll or something.
- Spent a lot of time trying to blend the edges. Used the smudge tool, played with the brightness and contrast.
- Had to guess the shape of his chin. Does it stick out? Is it round? I just kinda winged it based on the shape of his head.
It took a while. Lots of little clicks, undoing mistakes, trying again. You really notice how much the beard defines his face. Without it, he looked… younger? But also kinda strange. Like seeing a friend who shaved their trademark mustache off.
Finishing Up
After messing around for probably longer than I should have, I got something that looked halfway decent. Not perfect, by any means. If you looked closely, you could probably tell it was edited. But it gave me a rough idea.
It was definitely weird seeing him like that. So used to the big beard look. It really changes his whole vibe. Made me think about how much facial hair can alter someone’s appearance.
Anyway, that was my little experiment. Just messing around, really. Satisfied my curiosity, I guess. Kinda fun, kinda tedious. But hey, now I have a vague idea of what KO might look like if he ever decided to shave it all off. Strange stuff.
