Alright, so you wanna listen to that Auburn football on the radio, huh? It ain’t that hard, even for an old woman like me. I figured it out, so you can too.
First thing’s first, them young folks talk about the “internet.” Said it’s like the radio but with more stuff. Anyways, they got this thing called TuneIn. Sounds fancy, I know, but it’s just another way to hear the game. They say you can listen to all sorts of things on it, even podcasts, whatever them are. But we’re here for the football, right?
So, you get yourself this TuneIn thing. They got a free version, but for the football, you might need the TuneIn Plus. Don’t ask me why, they just like to make things complicated. With TuneIn Plus, they say you get all the games, pre-game talk, post-game talk, all that jazz. Sounds like a whole lot of yakkin’ to me, but some folks like it.
- Get TuneIn or TuneIn Plus, whatever they call it.
- Find the Auburn game, they usually have it listed clear as day.
- Listen! It’s like the radio, but through that internet thingy.
Now, they also have somethin’ called the Auburn Tigers Sports Network. Sounds official, right? You can find that on TuneIn too. They say it’s the best place to hear the game ’cause it’s all about Auburn. No other teams, just our boys.
I heard some folks sayin’ you can listen for free sometimes. But don’t hold me to it. These things change faster than the weather ’round here. One minute it’s free, the next they want your whole life savings. Just try it out, see what works. If it ain’t free, well, sometimes you gotta pay a little to get what you want.
And don’t go thinkin’ you need some fancy equipment. Any phone or computer should do the trick. My grandkid showed me on his phone, looked easy enough. Just make sure you got a good connection, or else you’ll be hearin’ more static than football.
They also talk about “streaming.” Another one of them fancy words. It just means listening over the internet, near as I can tell. So, when they say “stream the game,” don’t go gettin’ all confused. It’s just listenin’ to the radio, but a little different.
And get this, you can listen “anytime, anywhere.” That’s what they say. So, if you’re out in the garden, you can listen. If you’re cookin’ dinner, you can listen. Heck, you could probably listen while you’re sleepin’, though I don’t see the point in that. But the point is, you ain’t stuck to just sittin’ by the radio anymore. You can carry that game around with you, like a little pet or somethin’.
Now, they always got folks talkin’ before and after the game. Pregame analysis, they call it. And postgame analysis too. Sounds like a bunch of hot air to me, but some folks like to hear what them experts gotta say. Me? I just want to hear the game. But if you like all that extra stuff, well, TuneIn’s got it for you.
So, there you have it. It ain’t rocket science, even if some of them words sound like it. Just get that TuneIn thing, find the Auburn game, and listen. And if you get stuck, ask one of them young folks for help. They seem to know all about this internet stuff.
Just remember, it’s all about hearin’ them Auburn boys play. Whether it’s on the radio, the internet, or through a tin can and a string, it don’t matter. Just get that game on, and cheer ’em on loud and proud!
One more thing they were yappin’ about. If you can’t find it on that there TuneIn, just go lookin’ for “Auburn football radio internet” on that there google thing. They say it’ll pop up right away, but who knows with all this newfangled stuff.
Anyways, I hope this helped you out. Now go listen to that football game and leave me in peace.
