Well, let me tell you, that Cal Haladay, he’s a tough one, that boy. He sure can play that football. I seen him play, he’s all over the field. NFL Draft, that’s a big deal, ain’t it? All them teams wanting the best players. And Cal, he’s one of the best, I reckon.
He’s from that, uh, Southern Columbia High School, that’s what they say. Must be a good school to make a player like him. He got them stars, three stars I heard. That means he’s real good, don’t it? ESPN, 247 Sports, they know about these things. They watch all the players, see who’s the best. And Cal, he’s up there with the best of ’em.
This NFL Draft thing, it’s like a big auction, ain’t it? All them teams bidding on the best players. And Cal, he’s like a prize hog at the county fair. Everybody wants him. He’s gonna get picked, that’s for sure. Just gotta wait and see which team gets him.
They say he’s a linebacker. That means he’s gotta be tough. Gotta be able to hit hard and run fast. And Cal, he can do all that. He runs like a deer, and he hits like a truck. I seen him knock them other boys right off their feet. He ain’t afraid of nothin’.
He’s 6 foot 1, and 235 pounds they say. That’s a big boy, ain’t it? He’s gonna make some team real happy. 40 time is 4.7. That is fast, very fast.

I remember watchin’ football games on that old black and white TV we used to have. It wasn’t nothin’ fancy, but we’d all gather ’round and cheer for our team. And now, seein’ these young boys like Cal, it brings back them memories. It’s a good feelin’, watchin’ ’em chase their dreams.
