Okay, so I dove headfirst into this whole “Black Clover Mobile Tier List” thing. Let me tell you, it’s a rabbit hole, but a fun one.

First thing I did: Google it, duh! I mean, gotta see what the “experts” are saying, right? Found a bunch of lists, all slightly different, which already tells you it’s not an exact science. It’s all subjective and depends on your play style.
Then, I started making my own notes. I’m a pen-and-paper kinda guy. Just scribbled down all the characters I had, what their skills were (at least, what I thought they were!), and how they felt in battle.
Next up? Actually playing the game. Sounds obvious, but I mean REALLY playing. Not just auto-battling through everything. I started focusing on specific characters, trying them out in different team comps, against different enemy types. Took a beating a few times, let me tell you!
Recorded my findings. I made this super janky spreadsheet (don’t judge!), with columns for character name, role, skills, strengths, weaknesses, and my overall rating. Gave ’em all grades, A through F, like I was back in school. Nostalgic, almost!
Here’s where it got interesting: I started watching some gameplay videos. Saw how other people were using these characters, discovered some combos I never even thought of. Made me rethink a few of my initial ratings. Humble pie, anyone?
Tweaked my spreadsheet. Moved some characters up, moved some down. Realized that some characters were amazing in certain situations, but totally useless in others. Context is key, people!
Then, I asked for advice! Hit up some Black Clover Mobile communities online. Shared my (very preliminary) tier list, and asked for feedback. Got some great suggestions, and some… not so great ones. Gotta take it all with a grain of salt, you know?
More testing! Based on the feedback I got, I went back into the game and did even more testing. Focused on the characters that people were arguing about the most. Turns out, some of them were right! I had underestimated a few characters.

Finalized my tier list (for now!). It’s still a work in progress, obviously. The meta is always changing, new characters are always being released. But I’m pretty happy with where it’s at. It reflects my own experiences, my own play style, and the feedback I’ve gotten from the community.
Some general thoughts from my experience:
- Tier lists are guides, not gospel. Don’t blindly follow them. Experiment and find what works for you.
- Team composition matters more than individual character strength. A well-synergized team of “B” tier characters can easily beat a team of random “S” tiers.
- Don’t be afraid to experiment. Some of the most fun I had was trying out unconventional teams and strategies.
- The game is constantly evolving. What’s true today may not be true tomorrow. Stay flexible and keep learning.
So yeah, that’s my whole process. It’s a bit messy, a bit unscientific, but it’s how I roll. Hope it helps someone out there! Happy battling!
