Alright, let’s talk about Bill Russell’s wives. I got really curious about this the other day, so I decided to do some digging.
Rose Swisher
First up, I started with his first wife, Rose Swisher. They met way back in the 1950s when they were both at the University of San Francisco. It seems like they had a real connection. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much info about what she did after their time together, but the records I found state that she passed away from natural causes.
Dorothy Anstett
Then I moved on to his second wife, Dorothy Anstett. She was born in 1947 in Kirkland, Washington, and had eight siblings! Her dad worked in an aircraft plant. From what I gathered, she lived a pretty busy life before meeting Bill. Nowadays, she seems to keep to herself.
Marilyn Nault
Next, I looked into Marilyn Nault. They got married in 2000, and it sounds like they met by chance. She was from Kansas and had moved to Seattle. She was a bit younger than Bill, but they seemed to hit it off. Sadly, she passed away after battling cancer.
Jeannine Russell
Finally, I researched his last wife, Jeannine Russell. They tied the knot in 2018 in a small ceremony. It looks like this was his shortest marriage, as Bill passed away in 2022. They have been married for nearly 4 years. I also found that she played golf and was 64th on the Canadian Women’s Tour in British Columbia and 19th in Ontario in 2010. From what I read, she’s still grieving his loss.
