Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into NCAA Football 25, and one of the things I really wanted to figure out was the best playbooks. I mean, who doesn’t want that edge, right?

First, I jumped into Practice Mode. No point in ruining my Dynasty record while experimenting! I started by just picking a few teams that I thought had good reputations, like Alabama, Ohio State, stuff like that. I figured they probably had solid playbooks, being powerhouses and all.
Messing Around with Formations
Then, I started messing around with different formations. I spent a good chunk of time just scrolling through, seeing what each playbook offered. Some had a ton of shotgun, others were heavy on the I-formation. I tried to get a feel for the variety.
- Note to self: Some playbooks are way more run-heavy than others. Gotta keep that in mind depending on my team’s strengths.
I started running some basic plays, like inside zone, outside zone, just to see how the blocking worked. I wanted to see if the linemen were getting good push, if the running backs were hitting the holes, you know, the basics.
Finding Those “Money” Plays
After I got comfortable with the basics, I started looking for those “money” plays. You know, the ones that seem to work almost every time? I focused on plays that had multiple options, like reads for the quarterback, or plays with built-in misdirection.
I also paid attention to pass plays. I’m not just a run-it-down-your-throat kind of guy. I looked for plays with good route combinations, especially ones that attacked different levels of the defense. I want receivers open at short, medium, and deep ranges.
- Big Discovery: Some playbooks have these awesome RPO (Run-Pass Option) plays. They’re super effective if you can read the defense quickly.
Putting It All Together
Finally, I started testing these playbooks in some actual games (still in Practice Mode, though!). I wanted to see how they performed in different situations, like on third down, in the red zone, and when I was behind and needed to score quickly.
It’s definitely a work in progress. I’m still tweaking and learning. But I’ve already found a few playbooks that I really like, that seem to fit my play style. It’s all about finding what works for you and your team. Go and find it!
