Okay, so I’ve been messing around with different decks in Clash Royale, trying to find something that clicks, you know? I kept seeing people talk about this Battle Ram deck, and I was like, “Alright, let’s give this a shot.”

First, I looked up some popular Battle Ram decks online. Just to get a feel for what other people were using. I saw a lot of variations, but some cards kept popping up: like Bandit, and some sort of spell, usually Zap or Fireball, I added also the magic archer, you know?
My first try
So, I threw together a deck with the Battle Ram as the main win condition, of course. Added a few support troops, like the Bandit and the magic archer. For spells, I went with Zap and Fireball, classic I use this combination, and rounded it out with some defensive cards, like the Valkyrie.
- Battle Ram
- Bandit
- Magic Archer
- Zap
- Fireball
- Valkyrie
- Baby Dragon
- Inferno Dragon
The process
I jumped into a few battles, and… well, it wasn’t pretty. I got smashed a couple of times. I realized I was having trouble dealing with air troops. Also, my deck felt a little too expensive, I always ran out of elixir at the most importat times. And the opponent’s hog rider always take down one of my towers!
Back to the drawing board. I swapped out some cards. I needed something to counter those pesky air troops, so I added the Baby Dragon. Felt like the deck needed one building more destruction power, so the Inferno Dragon entered. And get rid of the valkyrie.
Final adjustments
After a few more tries (and a few more losses, not gonna lie), I started to get the hang of it. I realized the key was to use the Battle Ram strategically. Not just throwing it down whenever, but waiting for the right moment, baiting out their counters, and then BAM! Connect to the tower. I started winning some
I played a bunch more matches, tweaking the deck here and there. Swapped out a card for better defense, changed the spell combination. You know, the usual experimenting.
Finally, I landed on a deck that I felt really comfortable with. It’s not perfect, I still lose sometimes, of course. But it’s fun, it’s challenging, and it’s gotten me some sweet victories. I climbed up a few hundred trophies, which felt pretty good.
I’m still learning, still experimenting. But that’s the fun of Clash Royale, right? Figuring out what works for you, and that Battle Ram deck, it’s definitely working for me right now.
