So, I wanted to make this “Animal Ladder” thing I saw online. It looked pretty cool and I thought, why not give it a shot?

First, I gathered all my materials. Basically, I needed some wood, screws, and some tools. I am not gonna lie, I had to make a trip to the hardware store because I was missing a few things. I picked out some decent-looking wood planks, nothing fancy, just something sturdy enough to hold some weight.
Getting Started
I started by measuring and cutting the wood. This part was a little tricky, wanna get the sizes right, you know? If one piece is off, the whole thing could be messed up. I used a saw to cut the planks into the sizes I needed for the ladder’s sides and rungs.
- Measured and marked the wood carefully.
- Cut the pieces slowly to avoid any mistakes.
- Double checked to make sure everthing is accurate.
Next, I sanded down the edges of the wood. No one wants splinters, especially not the little critters that might use this ladder. This step took a bit of time, but it’s worth it for a smooth finish.
Putting It Together
Now for the fun part,I assembled the ladder.I laid out the side pieces and started screwing in the rungs.I made sure to keep the spacing even between the rungs, so it’s easy for animals to * took me some time to get everthing right.
I used a drill to make pilot holes before screwing everything together. This helps prevent the wood from splitting. It’s a small step, but it makes a big difference.
The Final Touches
Once everything was screwed together, I checked to make sure it was sturdy. I pushed and pulled on it a bit to test its strength. It felt pretty solid, so I was happy with that.
Finally, I placed the ladder in my backyard, near the fence where I’ve seen some animals hanging around. It’s leaning against the fence at an angle, making it easy for them to climb up and down.
And that’s it! It wasn’t too hard, just took some time and patience. Hopefully, some little creatures will find it useful. I’ll be keeping an eye out to see if anyone uses it. Fingers crossed!
