Okay, so I was trying to solve this crossword puzzle the other day, and one clue really got me thinking: “an impressive achievement.” I mean, it could be anything, right? My mind went straight to things like climbing Mount Everest or winning an Olympic medal. You know, the big stuff.

I started by trying to fit in words that I thought were synonymous with impressive achievements. Let’s say I’m a marathon runner.
- FEAT
- TRIUMPH
- VICTORY
I tried them, changed a few letters, and then used other words to get some answers. I was stuck for like, a good hour, trying to figure this one out.
Then, I decided to take a break, get some coffee, and clear my head. When I came back, I looked at the clue again, and a friend said that “Sometimes the answer is simpler than you think.”
And it hit me! What about something like “HOLEINONE”? It fit perfectly! I couldn’t believe it. It was so obvious, yet I was so focused on these grand, over-the-top accomplishments that I missed it. I was running marathons, doing the most, but completely overlooked a golf term.
I learned a valuable lesson that day. Sometimes, the most impressive achievements are the simple, everyday things we accomplish, not just the headline-grabbing stuff.
