Okay, so I’ve been following Phil Mickelson for a while now, and I’m always curious about what gear he’s using. Today, I decided to finally do a deep dive into what’s in his bag for 2024. It was a bit of a rabbit hole, but I think I got it figured out.
First off, I started by scouring the internet for any recent news or updates about Phil’s gear. I found a few articles and forum posts that mentioned he’s still rocking with Callaway. That was a good starting point. Then I dug a little deeper to find specifics.
-
For his irons, it looks like he’s got a mix. I saw mentions of the Callaway X Forged UT and X21 UT Proto, which are probably his utility irons. Then, for his main set, it seems he’s using the Callaway Apex MB ’21. I guess he likes that classic muscle-back feel.

Moving on to his putter, this one was a little easier to track down. It’s an Odyssey Milled Blade, and it’s apparently a “Phil Mickelson” custom model. I mean, the guy’s a legend, so it makes sense he’d have his own putter, right?
-
His grips were pretty straightforward, too. He uses the Golf Pride MCC grips. They’re a popular choice, so no surprise there.
-
For wedges, I found out he’s using the Callaway PM Grind ’19 Raw. “PM” as in Phil Mickelson, I suppose. These must be good if they have his initials on them!

Oh, and I almost forgot the driver! Apparently, he’s got the CALLAWAY PARADYM Ai SMOKE TRIPLE DIAMOND (9) in the bag. He’s known for switching things up, but it looks like he’s settled on this one for now. I guess the driver has been performing well enough for him.
I also stumbled upon some drama about Phil and his former caddie, Bones Mackay. Apparently, there was some dispute over unpaid bonuses related to the FedEx Cup. It’s wild to think that even at that level, there can be money issues. But hey, it’s a reminder that even the pros are human, I guess.
Anyway, that’s what I managed to find out about Phil Mickelson’s bag for 2024. It was a fun little investigation. He’s definitely got some interesting gear choices, and it’s cool to see what he’s using to stay competitive out there. I’ll keep an eye out for any changes he makes throughout the year.
