So, I’ve been digging into the New Orleans Pelicans lately, trying to figure out what their starting lineup is gonna look like for this coming season. It’s kind of a fun little project I took on, and man, it’s been a bit of a journey.
First, I started poking around the web, you know, just general searches to see what info I could gather. I checked out their win-loss record from a few days ago, 5-25, they’re sitting at 15th in the Western Conference. They just lost to Denver, 129-132, which is a bummer, but their next game’s coming up, so hopefully, they’ll turn things around.
Then I stumbled upon some speculation about their projected starting lineup. The name Dejounte Murray popped up as a potential starter, which got me intrigued. For the reserves, I saw Jose Alvarado and Antonio Reeves mentioned. I tried to find out more about these guys.
Finding the details
- Diving deeper: I started looking for specific player info. Like, I learned that Jordan Hawkins was the 14th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, and he’s with the Pelicans now, signed a multi-year deal. Sounds promising.
- Schedule and roster: Then I found the Pelicans’ official schedule and their roster. I spent a good chunk of time just going through the list, trying to piece together who plays what position, especially point guards, shooting guards, and power forwards.
- Recent games: I also checked out some recent game summaries. For instance, in a game from late December, McCollum scored 24 points, had six rebounds, and nine assists. It’s cool to see how these guys are performing in real-time.
- Team ownership: Even got sidetracked a bit reading about Gayle Benson taking over as the owner from her late husband. Seems like she’s committed to keeping the team in New Orleans, which is good news for the fans.
So after all this digging and piecing together, I’ve got a better, though still incomplete, picture of what the Pelicans’ starting lineup might be. It’s been a fun deep dive, and I’m definitely going to keep following their season to see how it all plays out. Go Pelicans!
