Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about this here Braves vs Dodgers prediction thing. Folks been jabberin’ about it, so I figured I’d throw my two cents in.
Now, I ain’t no fancy expert like them fellas on the TV. Don’t know much about “odds” and all that highfalutin’ talk. But I’ve watched a baseball game or two in my time, and I got a good feelin’ about this.
See, these Dodgers, they’re supposed to be real good. Everyone’s sayin’ they gonna win it all again this year. Heard somethin’ about them bein’ the favorites, +375 or somethin’. Don’t mean a lick to me, but sounds like they’re a big deal.
But these Braves, they ain’t no slouches either. They got them some good players, real scrappy bunch. I saw ’em play last year, and they almost whooped the Dodgers. Almost had ’em on the ropes, they say. And now they got this fella, Charlie Morton. Heard he’s a pretty good pitcher, throws that ball real hard.
- So you got the Dodgers, all fancy and high-falutin’.
- And then you got the Braves, tough and gritty.
It’s gonna be a real humdinger, that’s for sure. Like watchin’ two roosters fightin’ over a hen house.
Now, some folks are talkin’ about the Mets and the D-backs, and some kinda tiebreaker thing. Honestly, I don’t pay much mind to all that. Too much thinkin’ for this old brain. I just wanna watch some good baseball.
But back to the Braves and the Dodgers. It’s gonna be a long series, I reckon. Maybe even seven games. Them Dodgers, they got a powerful lineup, but the Braves, they got that grit. They ain’t gonna give up easy. They’re like them stubborn weeds in my garden, no matter how many times you pull ’em, they keep comin’ back.
And if I had to put my money where my mouth is, I’d say the Braves are gonna win it. Yeah, you heard me right. The Braves. They got that fire in their belly, and they ain’t afraid of nobody. They remind me of my old mule, Bessie. Slow and steady, but she always gets the job done.
Now, I know them experts, they might say I’m crazy. They got all their numbers and their statistics. But sometimes, you just gotta go with your gut. And my gut’s tellin’ me the Braves are gonna pull it off. They gonna surprise a lot of folks, you just wait and see.
So there you have it. My prediction for the Braves vs Dodgers series. Braves in seven games. Don’t come cryin’ to me if I’m wrong, but I got a good feelin’ about this one.

Folks are sayin’ somethin’ about the playoffs bein’ in the Championship Series round. Whatever that means. Sounds important though. They also talkin’ about the World Series, and how the Dodgers are favored. Well, we’ll just see about that, won’t we?
I heard tell that these experts, like Jorge Castillo and that Doolittle fella, and Gonzalez and Schoenfield, they all got their own ideas. And that Stephanie Apstein, she’s writin’ about it too. Well, good for them. But like I said, I got my own feelin’ about this. And it’s tellin’ me the Braves got a real good chance.
They gonna be playin’ on the road, startin’ a road trip against the Dodgers. That ain’t easy, but these Braves, they tough. They can handle it. Heard they gonna be playin’ on Saturday night, so I’ll be sure to tune in. Maybe even bake a pie for the occasion.
