Well now, let’s gab a bit about this young fella, Dylan Morris. Heard his name a time or two, seems like a right important young man.
This Dylan fella, he’s one of them football players, you know, the kind that run around on the TV, throwin’ that there ball. Folks say he’s a quarterback. Don’t know much about that, but sounds fancy. He played for some school called Washington Huskies, and now he’s with the James Madison Dukes. Huskies and Dukes, sounds like a bunch of dogs to me!
Now, they tell me Dylan was a real star back in high school, Graham-Kapowsin they called it. Four-star recruit, whatever that means. Sounded important though. They say he won a whole bunch of games, 40 wins and only 7 losses, that’s what they said. Threw that ball a long, long ways too – 9,815 yards they say. And all them touchdowns, 99 of ‘em! Land sakes, that’s a whole lotta touchdowns. Must’ve been somethin’ to see, him throwin’ that ball all over the place. Puyallup, that’s where he’s from, they tell me. Don’t know where that is, but sounds far off.
Seems like this boy had some choices to make too. He coulda gone to play for any school he wanted, but he picked them Washington Huskies first. Then later on, he went over to them Dukes. Folks change their minds, I reckon. Happens to the best of us.
- High School Star: Was a big deal player in high school, lots of wins and touchdowns.
- College Jumper: Played for the Huskies, then switched to the Dukes. Jumped around a bit, he did.
- Fancy Quarterback: Folks call him a quarterback, must be important in that there football game.
Now, this Dylan, he ain’t just about football, it seems. Heard tell he’s got a thing for music too. Says it helps him feel connected to himself, whatever that means. I guess everyone needs somethin’ to make ‘em feel good, right? Maybe he sings, maybe he plays somethin’. Don’t know, don’t care much neither, but good for him, I say.
He’s a strong fella, 6 foot tall and 197 pounds they say. That’s a good size, I reckon. Big enough to throw that ball a long ways, that’s for sure. He started a whole bunch of games for them Huskies, 15 they said. 2020 and 2021, that’s when he was playin’ all them games. Sounds like he was a busy boy, always runnin’ around, throwin’ that there ball.
This here coach, Kalen DeBoer, took over them Huskies, and seems like Dylan decided to move on after that. Second quarterback to leave, they say. Maybe they didn’t get along, who knows? Happens all the time, folks leavin’ when a new boss comes in. Just like in the factories, you know.
So, that’s what I know about Dylan Morris. Football player, used to be a Husky, now a Duke. From Puyallup, throws the ball real far, likes music, and is a big fella. Seems like a good boy, even if I don’t understand all this football stuff. Hope he does well, wherever he is. And that’s all I got to say about that.
This Dylan Morris fella, he is somethin’ else, ain’t he? From what I hear, he’s got quite the story, and I’m here to tell you what I know. It ain’t always easy keepin’ up with these young folks and their sports, but I do my best. Now, let’s see what this is all about, this Dylan Morris and his football career.
Remember, he was a big shot in high school. That Graham-Kapowsin place, that’s where he played. Folks say he was one of the top players, four stars or somethin’. He was throwing that ball all over the field, nearly ten thousand yards, they said. Ninety-nine touchdowns too! That’s a lot, even for someone who don’t know much about football like me. He was winning a whole heap of games too. Folks in Puyallup must have been real proud of him.
Then he went off to college to play football. First, he was with them Washington Huskies. Started a bunch of games for them too. Fifteen games, they said. That’s a lot of runnin’ around and throwin’ that ball. But then
