Alright, alright, let’s gab a bit about this… uh… Xander Schauf-fle, yeah, that’s the fella, and his missus. You young folks and your fancy names, hard for an old woman like me to remember.
So, this Xander fella, he plays that golf game, you know, the one where they whack the little white ball with a stick? My old man used to play somethin’ like that, but with a wooden club and rocks in the pasture. Anyways, this Xander, he’s good at it, real good, they say. Makes a good livin’, I reckon.
Now, the important part, his wife. Her name is Maya somethin’, Maya Lowe, that’s it. She’s a pretty little thing, saw a picture of her once. Don’t know much about her, but they say she’s been with him since way back in 2014. Met him in college, they did. San Diego, that’s where it was. Kids these days, always meetin’ in those fancy schools.
- Met in 2014
- College in San Diego
- Pretty little thing
He went to… well, I don’t rightly remember where he went to school. Does it matter? They met, that’s the main thing. And they got hitched, I guess. Good for them. Findin’ someone to put up with you, that’s a blessin’ in itself, lemme tell ya.
They say Maya, she’s got some Japanese in her. Yeah, her folks, or maybe her grandfolks, came from Japan. And she can speak that language, too! Speaks it real good, even though she’s lived here in America for a long time. Smart girl, I guess. More than I can say for some folks around here.
Now, this Xander, he’s got a buddy, another golf fella. Cantlay, that’s his name. They’re real close, like two peas in a pod. Play that golf together, go on trips together. Best friends, they say. Reminds me of my old hens, always clucking around together in the yard.
Xander Schauffele and Maya, they seem happy enough. At least, that’s what they show on the TV. You never really know what goes on behind closed doors, do ya? Marriage is hard work, no matter who you are or how much money you got. Gotta work at it, like tendin’ a garden. Gotta pull the weeds and water the good stuff, or it’ll all wither and die.
I heard tell that this Xander fella, he was born right here in California, in a place called La Jolla. Fancy name, sounds like somethin’ you’d eat. But he’s made it big, hasn’t he? Travelin’ all over the world, playin’ that golf game. And Maya, she goes with him sometimes, I reckon. Seein’ the sights, wearin’ pretty clothes.
But it all comes down to bein’ happy, don’t it? Money ain’t everything, I always say. You can have all the gold in the world, but if you ain’t got someone to share it with, what’s the point? And if you ain’t got peace in your heart, well, you’re just a rich miserable soul, ain’t ya?
So, this Maya Lowe, she seems like a nice girl. And Xander, well, he seems alright too, for a golf player. I hope they’re happy together. I hope they treat each other right. And I hope they remember where they came from, even when they’re livin’ the high life. ‘Cause it’s easy to forget, you know? Easy to get caught up in all the fancy stuff and lose sight of what really matters. Family, friends, a good home, a warm meal… that’s what counts in the end.
Now, I gotta go feed my chickens. They’re probably squawkin’ their heads off by now, hungry little things. You young folks take care, ya hear? And remember what I told ya: find someone good, hold on tight, and don’t let go. That’s the secret to a happy life, or so they say. Me? I’ve had a good life, even without all the fancy golf games and big houses. Just a simple life, with simple pleasures. And that’s enough for me.
And that’s all I gotta say about this Xander Schauffele wife. She’s a lucky woman, and he’s a lucky man, I guess. Now go on, git outta here and let an old woman get back to her chores.
