Alright, so y’all wanna know ’bout this Sergio Garcia fella and the sticks he swings, huh? Them golf clubs, yeah? Okay, okay, I’ll tell ya what I heard. This ain’t no fancy talk, just plain speakin’, ya hear?
First off, they say he’s swingin’ a TaylorMade Qi10 Max 9 driver. Sounds like a big ol’ hammer to me, but I guess that’s what them fellers use to whack the ball a country mile. Lordy, I can barely whack a fly, let alone a golf ball.
Now, for them irons, they’re sayin’ he’s got mostly TaylorMade P7-MB blades. Blades, huh? Sounds sharp. Hope he don’t cut hisself. He’s also got a TaylorMade P770 iron, a 3-iron they say. Don’t know what that means, but it sounds important.
- Driver: TaylorMade Qi10 Max 9
- Irons: Mostly TaylorMade P7-MB blades, plus a TaylorMade P770 3-iron.
Then there’s them wedges. They say he’s got some Titleist Vokey Design SM9, one’s a 54-12D bent to 52 degrees they say, and another one of them fancy Titleist Vokey SM9 WedgeWorks with 58 degrees. And a TaylorMade MG4 in a 52-degree model too. Too many numbers for my old head, but I reckon they help him get the ball close to the hole. Gotta be precise, ya know, like plantin’ corn, gotta get them seeds in the right spot.
Now, this putter thing, they say it’s somethin’ most folks ain’t never heard of. Guess it’s some special kinda stick for rollin’ the ball into the hole. Ain’t that the whole point of the game? Seems like a lot of fuss for just rollin’ a ball, but what do I know? I’m just an old woman.
They tell me this Garcia fella, he used to be with TaylorMade for a long time, then he went off with Callaway for a bit. Then he came crawlin’ back to TaylorMade. Men, always changin’ their minds, just like the weather. Can’t ever make up their minds, can they? Now, sounds like he might be playin’ the field again, no company in particular, just swingin’ whatever he pleases.
Oh, and they also said somethin’ about him not playin’ in that Ryder Cup thing last year. Somethin’ about joinin’ this LIV Golf thing and that meanin’ he couldn’t play. Sounds like a bunch of silly rules to me. If a feller wants to play golf, let him play golf, I say. Politics, always messin’ things up.
So, there ya have it. That’s what I heard about Sergio Garcia and his golf clubs in 2024. A bunch of fancy sticks with fancy names, but at the end of the day, it’s just about hittin’ a little white ball into a hole. Seems simple enough, but I reckon it ain’t. Just like life, I guess.
Anyways, hope that made some sense to ya. If not, well, that’s just tough, ain’t it? Now, go on and do somethin’ useful, there’s work to be done!
Sergio Garcia’s 2024 WITB Summary: Mostly TaylorMade, driver, irons, one wedge. Then some fancy Titleist wedges, and a putter nobody knows. He likes TaylorMade, then he didn’t, now he kinda does again, maybe. And he didn’t play in the Ryder Cup ’cause of some golf fight. That’s the gist of it.
Remember, this info is from what I heard around, things might change faster than a chicken can peck corn, you know how these things go.
