Alright, let’s talk about this basketball game, the one with the Nuggets and the… uh… Timber-wolves, yeah, that’s it. Them wolf fellas. Now, I don’t know much about all this fancy basketball stuff, but I watched the game, and I can tell you who did good and who didn’t.
First off, them Nuggets. They got this fella, you know, the big one, always bouncing the ball. I think his name was… Jokic? Yeah, Jokic! That fella, he’s something else. Always putting the ball in the hoop. He got a lot of points, I tell ya, a whole bunch. He’s like that hen we had back on the farm, always laying eggs, only he’s laying… uh… baskets? You get what I mean. He’s good, real good. And he’s big, like a bear, but moves like a… well, not like a bear, more like a… a sneaky fox, yeah, that’s it. He’s a sneaky fox-bear!
Then there’s this other fella on the Nuggets, the one with the quick hands. Murray, I think. He’s fast, like a rabbit, always running around. He scores too, but not as much as the big fella. He’s more like the rooster, you know, quick and loud, gets things going. These two, they play good together, like them two old mules we had, always pulling in the same direction. They make the team work, that’s for sure.
Now, them Timber-wolves, they got some good players too. There’s this one fella, real tall, kinda skinny. I don’t remember his name, too many names for this old brain. But he’s good, shoots the ball real high, swish, it goes right in. He’s like a… a tall tree, swaying in the wind, then bam! The ball goes in. He gave the Nuggets a hard time, I tell ya. He and that other fella, the one with the… the… what do you call it… the beard! Yeah, that’s it, the beardy fella. He’s strong, like an ox, pushes everyone around.
- Jokic for the Nuggets: Lots of points, real good player, big and sneaky.
- Murray for the Nuggets: Fast, quick hands, scores too.
- Tall fella for the Timberwolves: Shoots high, scores good, like a tall tree.
- Beardy fella for the Timberwolves: Strong, pushes people around, like an ox.
So, they all played hard, running up and down the court, back and forth, like them kids chasing chickens in the yard. The score went up and down, back and forth. Sometimes the Nuggets were ahead, sometimes the Timber-wolves. It was close, real close. Made my heart pound like I was chasing that runaway pig back in the day! In the end, I think the… uh… I think the Nuggets won, yeah. But it was close. Real close.
They got all these numbers, you know, points and… and other things. I don’t pay much attention to them numbers. I just watch. If the ball goes in the hoop, that’s good. If it doesn’t, that’s bad. That’s all I need to know. And them Nuggets, they put the ball in the hoop more times, so they won. Simple as that.
But them Timber-wolves, they didn’t give up, no sir. They fought hard, right to the end. That beardy fella, he was always yelling and getting all fired up. He reminded me of my old rooster, always crowing and strutting around. And that tall fella, he kept shooting them high balls, swish, swish. They made it tough for the Nuggets, that’s for sure. It wasn’t no easy win.
So, that’s what I saw. Nuggets won, but it was a good game, real exciting. Lots of running and jumping and yelling. Reminded me of a good old barn raising, everyone working hard and having fun. Only instead of raising a barn, they were raising… uh… the score, yeah, that’s it. They were raising the score.
And that Jokic fella, he’s the best. He’s like the… the head rooster in the chicken coop, the leader, the one everyone looks up to. He’s a good player, real good. I bet he could even catch that runaway pig of mine, he’s that fast and sneaky. Yep, Jokic, that’s the name to remember.
In the end, it’s just a game, right? Like them card games we used to play on the porch, someone wins, someone loses, but everyone has a good time. That’s what matters, I reckon. And them Nuggets, they had a good time winning, and them Timber-wolves, well, they’ll have another chance next time. That’s how it goes.
