Alright, so you wanna know what channel Georgia’s comin’ on, huh? It ain’t always the same, you see. It’s like lookin’ for a lost chicken in the yard, gotta poke around a bit.
First off, you gotta figure out what kinda “Georgia” you’re lookin’ for. Is it that football team, the Bulldogs, them fellas with the helmets and such? Or maybe you’re lookin’ for some show about Georgia, the state, like them travel shows with pretty pictures. Or maybe, just maybe, it’s somethin’ on that there public television, learnin’ stuff and all.
Now, if it’s the Georgia Bulldogs football you’re after, that’s usually on the big channels. I’m talkin’ ’bout your ABCs and your ESPNs. You know, the ones the kids always hog the TV for. Heard tell this year, that game with Tennessee, that was on ABC. Folks were yellin’ and hollerin’ at the TV, real loud it was. That fella Chris Fowler and that other one, Kirk Herby-somethin’, they were the ones talkin’ ’bout the game. And them two gals, Holly somethin’-or-other and Laura, they was down on the side lines, watchin’ the boys run around.
For other stuff, like regular TV shows or movies ’bout Georgia, that’s a whole ‘nother story. Could be on anythin’, from your local channels to them cable ones. You got channels like, uh… what are they called… NBC, CBS, FOX, them fellas. Heard tell there’s this thing called YouTube TV too, got a whole mess of channels. More channels than chickens in my coop, I swear. They say it’s got over a hundred channels, even the local ones. Can you believe that? A hundred! What in the world would you do with a hundred channels? Makes my head spin just thinkin’ about it.
And then there’s that Georgia Public Television, channel 8 they call it. That’s where you go to learn things, see them documentaries and such. It’s like school, but on the TV. They got all sorts of stuff on there, animals, history, even cookin’ shows. And guess what? Heard they’re on that YouTube TV thing too now. Fancy that, even the learnin’ channel’s on that newfangled contraption. Seems like everythin’s on YouTube TV these days.
- Football: Look for ABC or ESPN. Big games are usually on these. Don’t forget to check the schedule though, ’cause it changes.
- Local Shows: Check your local channels, like NBC, CBS, FOX. Also, that YouTube TV thing, they got a bunch of local channels too.
- Public Television: That’s channel 8, Georgia Public Television. Good for learnin’ stuff. And yes, even this one is on YouTube TV, imagine that!
Now, how do you find out for sure? Well, you could look in that TV Guide thing. You know, that little book they used to send in the mail, tells you what’s on. I think they got it on the internet now too, fancy that. Or you could just flip through the channels till you find it. That’s what I do mostly, unless the grandkids are here, then they do all that fancy internet stuff. They’re always fiddlin’ with them phones and computers.
Another thing you can do is check your TV provider’s website, if you got one of them fancy cable boxes. They usually have a list of channels and what’s on. Or if you got that YouTube TV, they probably got a list too. Too much information if you ask me. Back in my day, we had three channels and we liked it! Now, you need a PhD just to figure out what to watch!
So, there you have it. Ain’t no easy answer to what channel Georgia comes on, but I give you some places to start lookin’. Just remember, check them big channels for football, local channels for other stuff, and channel 8 for the learnin’ shows. And if all else fails, just ask one of them young folks, they know all about these things.
Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open, you’ll find that Georgia show you’re lookin’ for. And if you see them Bulldogs playin’, give a holler for me. Go Dawgs!
