Alright, alright, let’s gab a bit about this Drew Beam fella and his gal, you know, the kind of stuff them young folks are always up to. I heard tell he’s a pitcher, throws them balls real fast-like for the Tennessee Volunteers. Good arm, they say, good arm. Reminds me of my cousin Billy, he could chuck a rock clear across the creek, bless his heart.
Now, this Drew, he’s got himself a girlfriend. Heard her name is Halle Hutchins. She’s a young’un, 25 or so, living down in College Station. Went to Texas AM University, smart cookie, I reckon. Probably knows a thing or two about…well, whatever they teach down there. Farming, maybe? Or maybe not, them city folk learn different things, ya know?
Folks are always curious ’bout these things, ain’t they? Who’s dating who, what they’re doing, all that jazz. Seems like everybody wants to know about Drew Beam’s girlfriend and how she affects his pitchin’. Like, does she make him throw harder? Does she give him good luck charms? I tell ya, young love is a powerful thing, or so they say. Back in my day, we didn’t have all this fuss about girlfriends and careers. We just worked hard and hoped for the best.
Speaking of girlfriends, there’s another girl tied to this Drew Beam somehow. Name’s Carlee. Poor thing, she’s in a wheelchair, somethin’ about her spine not bein’ right. Spinal muscular atrophy, they call it. SMA. Sounds awful painful. Don’t know if she’s his girlfriend too, or a friend, or what. But it’s good to see folks stickin’ together, no matter what. Reminds me of my neighbor, Mrs. Henderson, she had that bad hip and we all helped her with her groceries.
Anyways, this Halle girl, she seems nice enough. Pretty too, from what I’ve seen in them pictures. Folks say she’s got a big impact on Drew’s career. Now, I don’t know how a gal can make a fella throw a ball better, but I guess love works in mysterious ways. Maybe she just makes him happy, and happy fellas play better ball, who knows? It’s all a bit confusing to this old woman, but I’m happy for them if they’re happy.
- So, we got Drew Beam, the pitcher.
- Then there’s Halle Hutchins, his girlfriend, lives in College Station.
- And then there’s this Carlee girl, in a wheelchair, bless her heart.
Seems like a whole lotta fuss about nothin’ much if you ask me. But that’s how the world is these days, always lookin’ for somethin’ to gossip about. As long as they’re happy and not causin’ trouble, I say let ’em be. Now, where did I put my glasses? Can’t see a darn thing without ’em…
This whole thing about Drew Beam’s girlfriend reminds me of my grandson, always chasin’ after the girls. Young folks, they’re all the same. Full of energy and…well, other things. Can’t say I understand half of what they do, but as long as they’re not hurtin’ nobody, I guess it’s alright.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know about Drew Beam’s girlfriend, or girlfriends, or whatever it is they’re callin’ it these days. Just a bunch of young folks livin’ their lives, playin’ ball, and fallin’ in love. It’s the way of the world, I reckon. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens.
