Alright, let’s gab about this Nelly Korda and her putter grip, you know, the thing she uses to whack the golf ball into that little hole. I ain’t no golf pro, mind you, just an old woman who likes watching them young’uns swing their sticks on TV.
So, this Nelly girl, she’s real good, one of the best they say. Folks keep yappin’ about how she holds that putter, like it’s some kinda magic wand. Seems like she used to use one of them flat, blade-like putters, a Scotty Cameron somethin’-or-other. Then, bam! She switches to a bigger, clunkier one, a TaylorMade Spider Tour X. Guess them fancy golfers change their tools more often than I change my socks.
Now, they’re sayin’ this new putter is popular with the fellas too, some fellers named Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler. I don’t know ’em from Adam, but I reckon they must be good if they’re usin’ the same stuff as Nelly. Sounds like these putters ain’t cheap, probably cost more than my old tractor.
And get this, some of these golfers, they hold the putter all weird, with their left hand down low. They call it left-hand-low, or cross-handed, or some other fancy name. Rory, that fella I mentioned, he does it that way. Says it helps him control the ball better, keeps his right hand from gettin’ too bossy. I tell ya, these golfers and their tricks, it’s somethin’ else.
- Nelly used to use a Scotty Cameron putter.
- Now she uses a TaylorMade Spider Tour X putter.
- Lots of golfers use this TaylorMade putter.
- Some golfers hold the putter left-hand-low.
They say this left-hand-low grip helped Nelly get to be the number one golfer in the world. That’s a big deal, I guess. Means she’s the best of the bunch, at least for a while. But golf’s a funny game, one day you’re on top, the next you’re in the weeds. Seems like Nelly was havin’ a bit of trouble lately, not playin’ so good for a spell. But then, she went and won another tournament, the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship, and boom! Back to number one. That girl’s tough as nails, I tell ya.
Now, why all this fuss about a putter grip, you ask? Well, I reckon it’s like this: that putter is the last club you use before the ball goes in the hole. And if you can’t get that little ball in the hole, you ain’t gonna win no tournaments. So, how you hold that putter, it matters. It’s gotta feel right, gotta be comfortable, gotta give you confidence. And it seems like Nelly found somethin’ that works for her, at least for now. Maybe she’ll change it up again next week, who knows? These golfers, they’re always fiddlin’ with their gear, tryin’ to find that little edge.
So, if you’re havin’ trouble with your own puttin’, maybe you should try somethin’ different. Maybe try holdin’ the putter left-hand-low, or maybe get yourself a new putter altogether. Heck, I don’t know. I ain’t no golf expert. But it seems like these golfers are always tryin’ new things, and sometimes it works, and sometimes it don’t. That’s just life, ain’t it? You keep tryin’ until you find somethin’ that clicks.
Anyways, that’s my two cents on this Nelly Korda putter grip situation. Just an old woman’s ramblings, take it or leave it. But one thing’s for sure, that Nelly girl can sure whack that little ball, no matter how she holds that putter.
And that fella Chris Lohman, folks keep mentionin’ his name alongside Nelly’s. Must be her coach or somethin’. Anyway, that Nelly, she’s a real firecracker. Hope she keeps on winnin’!
