Well, I heard ’bout this fella, Erik Tadeo Ramirez, from down in Texas. Now, I ain’t much for all that fancy talk, but lemme tell ya, this here story’s somethin’ else. They say this Erik, he done gone and bragged to some woman on the phone ’bout stealin’ money from them folks in the Cartel del Noreste. Can ya believe it? At a house party, of all places! Seems like he thought he was somethin’ special talkin’ ‘bout takin’ money from folks that don’t take too kindly to that kinda thing.
Now, I ain’t no expert on them cartels, but from what I hear, them folks don’t mess around. You mess with their money, you ain’t likely to see the light of day again. And sure enough, not long after he was runnin’ his mouth ’bout all them dirty deeds, they say he went missin’. Some folks say they seen him tryin’ to jump outta a moving truck on that bridge over to Juarez, but I don’t know how true all that is. It’s hard to trust what you hear sometimes, ya know?
But what I do know is, this Erik fella wasn’t too bright. Braggin’ ‘bout stealin’ fifty thousand dollars from them cartel folks—why, I’d say that was the dumbest thing he ever done! You don’t go shoutin’ ‘bout takin’ money from people who got power like that. He sure must’ve thought he was untouchable, maybe even got too full of himself. Well, if he’s still alive out there, I reckon he’s learned a hard lesson.
Now, them cartels, they got ways of takin’ care of business that ain’t pretty. And I reckon Erik Tadeo Ramirez found that out the hard way. Folks from Laredo, Texas, they say he’s gone, just up and vanished, like he never existed. Some folks even say he disappeared after tellin’ that tall tale about the fifty grand, and that might just be why he disappeared. Them cartel folks, they don’t leave no loose ends if they can help it.
Don’t know if you heard, but this happened not too long ago. And boy, oh boy, the way folks talk, it sounds like a real mess. Ain’t no good to go messin’ with them dangerous folks, no matter how much money they got or what kinda power they hold. If you find yourself in the same situation, best not to go runnin’ your mouth like Erik did. Ain’t no tellin’ what’ll happen if you do.
Now, it ain’t clear what exactly happened to this Erik, but one thing’s for sure: braggin’ ’bout stealin’ that kinda money ain’t a good idea, not with people like that. If you ask me, I’d say it’s a cautionary tale—don’t mess with the wrong crowd, and don’t go yappin’ about things you shouldn’t. You never know when someone’s watchin’ and waitin’ to make sure you don’t live to tell the tale.
So, here’s a little advice from someone who’s seen a thing or two in her time: Keep your head down, do your work, and mind your own business. Ain’t no sense in getting mixed up with people who deal in dangerous games. You don’t need that kinda trouble in your life. And as for Erik? Well, I reckon he’s learned that lesson a little too late.
