Okay, so I got into collecting basketball cards recently, and I’ve been trying to snag some Chet Holmgren rookies. Dude’s got potential, you know? So, I figured I’d share my little journey so far.

The Hunt Begins
First, I hit up some local card shops. I like the feel of actually going through packs, the anticipation, you know? It’s like a mini treasure hunt.
- First stop, “Card Corner”. Zilch. Found some cool older cards, but no Chet.
- Next, “Sports Memorabilia Central”. Again, nothing. The owner said Chet cards were flying off the shelves. My hopes sinked.
Going Digital
I figured, alright, maybe the local shops are tapped out. Time to check out the online world.
I started by looking at some of the big online retailers. I browsed through their listings, filtering by “Rookie Cards” and “Chet Holmgren.”
Saw a few, but the prices were kinda all over the place. Some were way out of my budget, others seemed a bit too good to be true.
It is so frustrating, I just want it.
Deep Dive
I decided I needed to do a little more research, so I don’t get ripped off, I read some articles and forum posts about grading and pricing, just to get a better sense of what’s what. PSA, Beckett, all that stuff. It’s a whole other language, man! I am really exhausted during this process.
Almost There…
Armed with my newfound knowledge, I went back to the online marketplaces,I found a couple of cards that looked promising – a Prizm rookie and a Select Courtside. The condition seemed decent, and the sellers had good ratings.

The Final Decision
After like, a week of hemming and hawing,I finally bit the bullet. I like to have something. I placed a bid on the Prizm, fingers crossed. It was a bit of a nail-biter, watching the timer tick down, but… I won! Now I own a Chet Holmgren Prizm rookie card. It’s not the most valuable one out there, but it’s mine, and that’s pretty cool. I am so excited.
So yeah, that’s my Chet Holmgren card story so far. It’s been a fun little adventure, and I’m definitely going to keep collecting.
