Okay, so, I’ve been diving deep into Shin Megami Tensei V lately, and let me tell you, the “Miracle Research” thing? It’s a whole thing. I figured I’d jot down my process, ’cause it might help someone else out there who’s scratching their head.

Getting Started
First off, I started a new game, because, why not? Fresh start, fresh miracles. I made my way through the first few areas, you know, getting the hang of things, fusing some demons, the usual. My main goal was to get to the point where I could really start messing with the miracle system.
The Grind Begins
Then came the grind. Oh boy, the grind. To unlock miracles, you need Glory. And to get Glory, you gotta find those little Miman dudes scattered all over the place, or complete subquests. So, I spent hours just running around, exploring every nook and cranny, talking to every NPC I could find. My map was filled with markers, it was crazy.
- I focused on finding Mimans first. They’re like little collectible, and each one gives you a bit of Glory.
- I also made sure to do any subquest that popped up. Some of them are a pain, but the Glory reward is usually worth it.
- I also looked for the glory that can be found by interacting with the environment.
Unlocking the Goods
After what felt like forever, I finally had enough Glory to start unlocking some miracles. The ones I went for first were the ones that boosted my demon’s stats and gave me more skill slots. Those seemed like the most useful early on.
From there, it was all about experimenting. I tried out different combinations of miracles, seeing what worked best for my playstyle. Some of them are definitely more useful than others, and some are super situational. I kept a notebook handy to jot down which ones I liked and which ones I didn’t.
My Two Cents
Overall, the miracle system in SMTV is pretty cool. It adds a lot of depth to the game, and it gives you a ton of control over how you build your party. But man, it takes some serious dedication to unlock all of them. My thumbs still hurt from all that exploring. It’s really a good game I enjoyed.
