Okay, so today I tried my hand at this “Dale Crafton” thing. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. I’m not the craftiest person, so this was definitely stepping outside my comfort zone.

Getting Started
First, I had to figure out what I even wanted to do. I mean, “Dale Crafton” is pretty broad. After scrolling through some ideas, I decided to try something simple. Because I was new to crafton, I prepared a few simple tools.
- Some Paper.
- Scissors.
- Glue.
The Messy Middle
Alright, so I started by cutting out the paper. Let’s just say my scissor skills aren’t exactly top-notch. It wasn’t perfect, a little jagged, but hey, it’s handmade, right? That’s part of the charm.
Then came the gluing. I definitely used too much glue at first. It was oozing out the sides. A bit of a sticky situation, literally. I wiped off the excess and pressed everything down. It took a while to dry, and I was constantly checking to make sure it was sticking properly.
While I was waiting I watched several tutorial video. I think that I need learn more.
The (Almost) Finished Product
Finally, after what felt like forever, it was done! It’s not going to win any awards, but I made it. And you know what? I’m actually kind of proud of it. It’s a little wonky, the colors aren’t perfectly matched, but it’s mine. I created something, and that’s a pretty good feeling.
This whole Dale Crafton experience taught me that it’s okay to not be perfect. It’s about the process, the trying, the learning. And maybe, just maybe, I’ll try another craft project soon. But next time, I’m investing in better scissors.
