Alright, let’s talk about Henrik Stenson’s WITB (What’s in the Bag). I’ve been messing around with my own setup, trying to find that perfect combination, and Stenson’s choices always intrigued me. So, I decided to dive deep and see what I could learn, maybe even try to replicate some of it.

First, I started by looking up some recent articles and forum posts. I wanted the latest info, not some outdated stuff from years ago. It’s surprisingly hard to find super-current WITB details, but I pieced together a decent picture.
The Woods
- Driver: It seems like he’s been loyal and keep using his driver, though he sometimes tests other models.
- Fairway Woods: I noticed he usually carries a 3-wood and sometimes a 5-wood. He’s apparently famous for his strong 3-wood play.
I currently play with a different * trying to emulate Stenson exactly would be a pretty big change for me!
The Irons & Wedges
- Irons: I found out he tends to favor a classic forged iron which offer that buttery feel.
- Wedges:He usually goes with three wedges. I’m guessing pretty standard lofts, nothing too crazy.
This is where I feel like I could actually make some changes. I’ve been thinking about switching to forged irons anyway, and Stenson’s setup kinda confirmed that for me. I went ahead and ordered a used set online just to experiment. I figured, why not?
The Putter & Ball
- Putter: I saw some pictures of it – a classic anser style blade.
- Ball: He plays with that top-tier ball, just like most pros.
My current putter is face-balanced, totally different. I’m not sure I’m ready to switch that up yet. Baby steps, right? But I did grab a sleeve of the same balls he uses, just to see if it made any difference to my game (spoiler: it didn’t magically fix my slice, haha).
So, that’s my journey into Henrik Stenson’s WITB. It was more about inspiration than direct copying. I learned a few things, tried a few things, and who knows, maybe I’ll keep tinkering with my setup based on what I found. It’s all part of the fun, isn’t it?
