Okay, so I wanted to get a better handle on Purdue’s quarterback situation. You know, like, who’s the starter, who’s backing them up, that kind of thing. So I decided to create my own “purdue qb depth chart”.
First, I gathered some information. I checked out a few Purdue sports websites. Just, you know, regular fan sites and news articles.
My Tracking Process
- Started a simple document. Just a plain text file, nothing fancy.
- Listed all the quarterbacks I could find mentioned in connection with Purdue.
- Started watching some game highlights, interviews, and practice footage whenever I had time.
- Looked for any clues about performance – who looked sharp, who was making mistakes, who seemed to be getting the most reps with the first team.
- Kept updating my document. I added notes about what I saw, and I started to rank the QBs based on my observations, along with any official news I could find.
It was, of course, not perfect. I’m just one guy, watching videos and reading articles. I don’t have insider access or anything. But it was kind of a fun way to follow the team and get a little more invested in the upcoming season. And I did have a good chart I made.
