Okay, so I’ve been messing around with my golf gear lately, trying to dial in my setup, and I thought I’d share what I learned about Sergio Garcia’s WITB (What’s in the Bag). It’s not exactly my bag, but it gave me some ideas.
First, I started by doing some digging online. Just plain old searching to see what clubs he’s been using recently. It changes sometimes, you know, depending on the course and conditions.
My Deep Dive into Sergio’s Setup
- I checked a few golf forums. Lots of chatter there, but you gotta sift through the opinions to find the facts.
- Then, I looked at some of the bigger golf websites, the ones that cover the pro tours. They usually have pretty reliable info, straight from the source, or at least, close to it.
- I even watched some recent tournament footage, trying to get a glimpse of his bag during play. It’s not always easy to see, but sometimes you can catch a good shot of a club head or shaft.
After I gathered all that info, I started to piece together a picture of his setup. It’s pretty interesting, the choices he makes. It’s a mix of brands, not just one company’s full line. And I was very surprised to find out all the details.
I tried to apply some of his principles to my own game, after I had fully understood what he used. It is not like I can copy his club selection exactly, because, well, I’m not Sergio Garcia! But, I considered things like his shaft flex, and his loft choices, and how they might relate to my swing speed and ball flight.
Finally, the important thing I realized is, find what works for you, through trying different clubs and by seeing results, instead of just copying someone else’s setup.
