Okay, let’s talk about this “Barbarians Deck” thing. I saw some folks online going on and on about it, so I figured, why not give it a shot? Seemed like a decent way to waste an afternoon.
First off, I had to figure out what cards I even needed. I did a quick search and there seem to be a bunch of variations, but the general idea is you want Barbarians, obviously, and some support cards. I grabbed a bunch of Elite Barbarians too, ’cause those guys look tough.
Then I started playing some games, just to get a feel for it. My first few matches were a total mess. I kept getting wrecked by those players with those annoying ranged units, picking off my poor barbs before they could even reach the enemy towers. So I made some changes, adding Zap and Fireball to deal with those pesky ranged units. It helped a bit, but I was still struggling. Also I tried using a Rage spell to power up my Barbarians. Sometimes it worked wonders, but other times it was just a waste.
- First deck try: Barbarians, Elite Barbarians, Rage, Minion Horde, Arrows, Goblin Barrel, Skeleton Army, and Knight. Didn’t go well.
- Second try: Swapped out Minion Horde for Fireball, Skeleton Army for Zap. Better, but not good enough.
After that, I did what any sane person would do: I went back online to look for more ideas. I found this one dude who was using Electro Wizard with his barbarian deck and he was crushing it. It made sense – that Electro Wizard’s stun ability would be perfect for slowing down those ranged units and letting my barbs get in there and do some damage. But I don’t have the Electro Wizard, I decided to try out Ice Golem instead to soak up some damage and slow down enemy troops, making them easier targets for my barbs.
And you know what? It actually started working! My win rate went up. I was finally able to counter those ranged units more effectively and get my Barbarians to the towers.
The Final Deck (For Now)
- Barbarians: The main guys.
- Elite Barbarians: The tougher guys.
- Rage: For that extra push.
- Fireball: Bye-bye, ranged units.
- Zap: For those smaller swarms, and also good for stopping enemy attacks.
- Ice Golem: The meat shield.
- Goblin Barrel: A little surprise for the towers.
- Arrows: Another good way to deal with small swarms, also can finish off weak towers.
I’m still playing around with it, tweaking things here and there. It’s definitely not perfect, but it’s way better than where I started. I’m actually having fun with it now. So yeah, that’s my “Barbarians Deck” journey so far. If you’re thinking about trying it, go for it! Just be prepared to lose a lot at first, and don’t be afraid to experiment. You might just stumble upon something that works for you.
