Okay, so, I wanted to get my hands on some of that sweet Masters gear for 2023. Figured it would be a cool thing to have, you know? So I started poking around, trying to figure out how to get some. First thing I did was check out the official site, but man, it was like a maze.
Eventually, I figured out that you can only buy this stuff if you actually go to the tournament. Kind of a bummer, but hey, it makes sense. So, no luck there for me this year. I wasn’t planning on making the trip out there. But I kept looking anyway, ’cause, why not?
I tried hitting up some of those online auction places. You know the ones I’m talking about. Saw a few things, but the prices were nuts! Like, way more than I was willing to pay for a hat or a shirt. I mean, I like golf, but not that much.
Digging Deeper
I spent a couple more days casually looking around. Asked some buddies if they knew anyone going, no luck there either. It started to feel like a lost cause, so I moved on. Then, out of the blue, a friend of mine calls me up. Turns out, he has a connection who was going. Long story short, he said he could pick me up something. Awesome, right?
- Reached out to my friend.
- Confirmed he has a connection.
- Placed a small order, just a t-shirt and a hat.
- Waited patiently (not really).
A week or so later, I get another call. My stuff is here! Met up with my buddy, handed over the cash, and bam! Got my Masters 2023 gear. It was a bit of a roundabout way to get it, but hey, it worked out. It feels pretty cool to have something that is not super easy to get. Now I have something special to remember it by, the t-shirt is really comfortable and the hat is super cool.
So, yeah, that’s the story of how I got my Masters 2023 merchandise. Took a little bit of luck and knowing the right person, but I finally got it. If you are not going there yourself, find someone who does! You will get it eventually. Keep trying!
