Okay, here’s my story about that “video sharing app crossword” thing.
So, I was trying to figure out this crossword clue the other day, something about a “video sharing app.” I was stumped! I mean, there are so many of them out there. I tried to think of all the ones I use, but my mind went totally blank.
I started by trying to remember, like, what’s the word that comes to mind? Nope. Nothing. Then I thought, okay, maybe I can just type the clue into a search engine. You know, see what pops up.
I typed in “video sharing app crossword” and got a bunch of results for crossword solver websites. I’ve never used one of those before. I felt it is a little bit like cheating, but I was getting desperate.
I clicked on a few of the links and checked out a couple of these solver sites. They all seemed kinda the same. You just put in the clue, and then any letters you already know, and it gives you a list of possible answers. It’s like using a database of words and definitions or something like that.
One website said they had, like, 350,000 words and 118,000 definitions in their database. I have no idea if that’s a lot, but it sounds like a lot, right?
Anyways, I typed in the clue, and the number of letters I needed to get the answer. I used one of the sites, and boom! There it was. The answer was right there. I feel dumb, but there you have it. I filled it into my crossword, and it fit perfectly.
These crossword solver tools are pretty neat. They do all the work for you. No need to rack your brain. This is so cool.
