Alright, so I got my hands on this new game called FragPunk. It’s a first-person shooter, and you know I love my shooters, right? I jumped into the playtest that’s going on right now. It was a piece of cake to get access. I simply went to the Steam page and clicked a button to request to join. I got in pretty fast, which was cool.
FragPunk is this 5v5 hero shooter thing. You get to pick your character, each with their own special abilities and stuff. The game, for now, is in its beta testing phase. I think it is a NetEase joint, so you know it’s gonna be big, maybe? Anyway, it’s got this mix of playing it safe and going all out, which honestly, feels kinda familiar in a good way. If you have played Valorant or Overwatch, you will know what I mean.
I’ve clocked in, like, eight hours already. Not bad, eh? First thing, the snipers feel way too strong. I mean, they’re just wiping the floor with everyone, and it’s kinda killing the vibe. I am not sure if everyone feels this way, but it’s definitely my biggest gripe for now.

Gameplay and Rewards
So, about the game itself. It’s fast. Real fast. You gotta think on your feet but also be quick with the trigger. It says it mixes strategy with action, and yeah, I can see that. You’re not just running and gunning; you gotta use your brain a bit, which I like. Even though it’s just a playtest, they’ve got some permanent rewards. So, whatever you unlock, you keep. That’s pretty sweet, not gonna lie. It makes you wanna play more and try to get all the goodies.
Honestly, I’m kinda hooked. Despite the sniper issue, the game’s got potential. It’s fun, it’s fast, and there’s stuff to work towards. I’m gonna keep playing and see how it goes. Maybe they’ll balance out those snipers, who knows. Anyway, if you’re into shooters, this one’s worth checking out. Just watch out for those snipers, for real.
