Okay, so, I was messing around online today, trying to find something funny, you know? And I had this idea to look up “rock memes.” Yeah, just rock memes. Sounds dumb, I know, but I was bored.
So, first thing I did was open up my browser and type in “rock memes” into the search bar. The usual stuff popped up, you know, some images, some websites. I clicked on the images first.
Mostly what I saw was a lot of stuff about that Pokemon character, Brock. Like, a ton. Pictures of him, GIFs of him doing his thing, all that. Honestly, I didn’t even remember who Brock was at first. Had to think about it for a minute.
- I saw some stuff from this site called “Tenor.” Apparently, they make GIF keyboards? Didn’t even know that was a thing.
- There’s this other site called “Know Your Meme” that’s all about explaining internet stuff, like viral videos and catchphrases. Pretty useful, I guess, if you’re into that.
- Then there were a bunch of Pinterest boards dedicated to Brock memes. People really like making collections of this stuff, huh? One board was called “memes for brock,” another was just “BROCK MEMES” in all caps. People are intense, man.
I spent a good while just scrolling through all these Brock pictures and GIFs. Some of them were kinda funny, I guess. Like, there were a few that made me chuckle. But mostly it was just weird seeing how much people love this one Pokemon dude.
After a while, I got bored of Brock, so I started looking at some of the other rock memes. There were a bunch of geology jokes, which, okay, not really my thing. And then there were some about, like, rock music and stuff, but those weren’t that great either.
My final thoughts about this stuff
Honestly, the whole “rock memes” thing was kinda a bust. I mean, it was fun for a little while, but it’s not something I’d spend a lot of time on again. Maybe I’m just not the target audience, you know? But hey, at least I learned that people really, really like Brock from Pokemon. So there’s that.
I guess I’ll just stick to regular memes from now on. Or maybe I’ll try searching for something else weird tomorrow. Who knows.
