Okay, let’s talk about this “Harry Higgs face” thing I tried out. So, I’m scrolling through my feed, right? And I keep seeing this name, Harry Higgs. Apparently, he’s some character from a book series called “Horrible Harry”. I thought, “Why not give this a shot?” I’m always up for trying new things, you know?
First, I gotta find out who this Harry Higgs guy even is. Turns out, he’s part of a book series, and there’s this girl, Song Lee, who’s apparently a big deal in the story too. She’s from Seoul, and the description says she’s shy, which is kinda cute. The books are called things like “Horrible Harry in Room 2B” – sounds like kid stuff, but hey, I’m diving in!
Now, I’m thinking, how can I make this Harry Higgs face? I start looking around for inspiration. I find some stuff about this video game character, 2B, from a game called NieR: Automata. She’s an android and looks pretty cool, with her signature weapons and all. But she’s not really related to Harry, so I’m just keeping her style in the back of my mind.
I’m more interested in recreating Harry’s face, or at least what I imagine it to be, based on the “Horrible Harry” vibe. I decide to mess around with some face presets, I mean I find some references online, those are just basic models so I just use my imagination to finish my work. Some folks release their presets online, but I’m doing my own thing here. I’m picturing a mischievous, maybe a bit goofy face, you know, to match the “Horrible” part of his name.
- Digging into the character: I read up a bit more on Harry and his friend Doug. They seem like the kind of kids who are always up to something.
- Experimenting with features: I start playing around with different facial features. I’m thinking, maybe a wide grin, or some exaggerated eyebrows to give him that playful look.
- Combining styles: I’m still thinking about that 2B character, and maybe I can incorporate some of her sleek design into Harry’s face, just for fun. It’s all about experimenting, right?
After a while, I think I’ve got something that looks pretty good. It’s not an exact replica, because, well, Harry Higgs is a book character, and I’m just going off what I imagine him to be. But I’ve created a face that I think captures the spirit of “Horrible Harry.”
The Result
So, there you have it. My take on the “Harry Higgs face.” It was a fun little project, and it got me thinking about how we imagine characters from books and how we can bring them to life in our own way. Maybe I’ll try this with other book characters sometime. What do you guys think? Any suggestions for my next face project?
