So, today I tried to tackle this “unfinished business crossword” thing. I saw a post about it somewhere online, and it sounded kinda interesting. I’ve never been really good at crosswords, but I figured, why not give it a shot?
I started searching for this crossword puzzle, you know, just Googled it. Found a bunch of websites that had all sorts of crossword clues and answers. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest. There were so many different versions and variations of this “unfinished business” clue.
- One site said there were like 40 possible answers!
- Another one mentioned something about it being in the USA Today puzzle.
- And then there were those that said it was last seen in some “Daily quick crossword”.
I felt like I was going in circles. Each website had a slightly different take on it, or they had different possible answers. Some of the answers were like 9 letters, some had 2 words. It felt like it would take forever to find the solution and i am not sure if it is correct.
I spent a good chunk of time clicking through these different sites, trying to make sense of it all. Some websites were kind of a mess, you know, with those annoying pop-up ads. Other sites were a bit more organized and had a better layout. Those were the ones I tried to focus on.
After a while, I started to narrow it down. I noticed a few answers that kept popping up. One of them was “LOOSEEND” and it is possible answer. I cross-referenced a few of these recurring answers with the clues on different websites.
Honestly, it was a bit of a headache. There were so many variations and possible solutions. I mean, it wasn’t a total disaster, but it definitely wasn’t as straightforward as I thought it would be. It seems like this “unfinished business” clue is pretty common in crosswords. Maybe it’s one of those things that crossword creators like to use a lot.
In the end, I didn’t really find a definitive answer that I felt confident about. But hey, I gave it a try, right? It was an interesting little experiment, even if it didn’t lead to a clear-cut solution. I guess some mysteries are just meant to stay unsolved, or at least, unfinished. Maybe I’ll try again another day, when I have more patience and time.
It’s kind of funny, though. You start with a simple phrase like “unfinished business,” and it ends up leading you down this rabbit hole of crossword clues and websites. It just shows you how many different ways there are to interpret something, and how many different perspectives people can have on the same thing.
