Okay, so I saw this thing online about Lamar Jackson’s 40-yard dash time, and I got curious. You know, the guy’s known for being crazy fast, but I wanted to see how fast he really is.
First, I did a little digging around. I looked up his official 40 time, and it turns out it’s 4.34 seconds. Yeah, 4.34! That’s crazy fast. It is said that he can run up to 21 miles per hour, which makes him one of the fastest quarterbacks ever.
I wanted to put this into perspective, so I started comparing it to other players, especially other quarterbacks. There are also some discussions about whether he actually ran it or not, since he didn’t do it at the NFL Combine. But, there’s apparently video evidence, and it seems legit.
Then I thought, how can I experience this myself? Well, I can’t run that fast, but I can at least time myself and see how far off I am. So, I found a track, marked 40 yards, and gave it a go.
- I warmed up a bit, did some stretches, you know, the usual.
- Then I lined up at the start and just sprinted as hard as I could.
- I had my friend time me with a stopwatch. Not super accurate, but it gives an idea.
My time? Nowhere near 4.34, let me tell you. It was more like… well, let’s just say it was a lot slower. But it was fun to try and compare, even if it was just a little bit.
Result
It really puts into perspective how athletic these guys are. To run 40 yards in 4.34 seconds is just insane. I mean, I tried, and it’s tough! It made me appreciate Lamar Jackson’s speed even more. I mean that guy can move!
Anyway, that was my little experiment with Lamar Jackson’s 40 time. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon, and I definitely got a good workout in. Maybe I’ll try again sometime and see if I can improve my time. But I doubt I’ll ever get close to 4.34!
