Okay, so I finally got around to messing with this Arcane Tower in Baldur’s Gate 3, and let me tell you, it was a trip. I heard some folks online talking about it, so I figured, why not give it a shot?
First off, I had to actually find this tower. I wandered around for a bit, exploring and all that, until I eventually stumbled upon it. It looked pretty impressive from the outside, all mysterious and whatnot.
Once inside, I started poking around. There were some neat things to see, but the real deal was this elevator I found. I hopped on, and it took me up to the top floor.
Meeting Bernard
And there he was, this big mechanical dude named Bernard, just standing there. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect. He didn’t attack me or anything, which was a relief.
But here’s the weird part: this guy started talking to me in poetry. Seriously, like he was reciting lines from some old play. I guess that’s the “arcane” part of the Arcane Tower, huh? It was kinda cool, but also confusing. I mean, who talks like that?
- I poked around the tower some more.
- Found some interesting loot.
- Bernard just kept on with his poetry.
I spent a good chunk of time trying to figure out what his deal was, and after a while it clicked. Turns out, if you respond to him with the right lines from books you find around the tower, he actually does different things. Like, he’ll give you stuff or open up new areas. It’s like a puzzle, but with poetry instead of, you know, actual puzzles.
So yeah, that was my adventure in the Arcane Tower. I’m still not entirely sure what the whole point of it was, but it was definitely a unique experience. If you’re into weird robot poets and finding hidden goodies, you might want to check it out. Just be prepared for a lot of reading!
