Okay, so I’ve been messing around with “MLB The Show 24” lately, and let me tell you, the batting stance stuff is way more important than I thought it would be. It’s not just about looking cool at the plate, you know? It actually changes how you play the game.
When I first started, I just picked a stance that looked kinda cool, didn’t really think much of it. But then I started noticing some players are just monsters at the plate. So I began to dig into it and realized, “Hey, maybe the stance actually matters.”
I started experimenting with different stances. First, I tried out Mike Trout’s stance. Everyone says it’s the best, and I can see why. It just feels… balanced, you know? Like you’re ready to hit any pitch they throw at you.
- Mike Trout: Yeah, this one felt pretty good. Smooth, controlled, the whole nine yards. I could see myself using this one long-term.
But then I thought, “Let’s get weird with it.” So, I tried a few other stances. A couple of the legendary players, some of the newer guys. Some of them are just crazy, all crouched down or with a super open stance. It really makes a difference in your timing and how you see the ball.
- Open Stance: Felt like I could really see the ball well, but I was pulling everything.
- Closed Stance: Opposite problem, I was late on everything.
I even tried right-handed Devers and that was pretty cool. This stance has a really good feeling. I felt like I could hit the ball to all fields. I also tried Ohtani and Bellinger’s stances. They are quite good, too.
After all that messing around, I’ve kind of settled on a slightly modified version of Trout’s. It’s not exactly the same, but it’s got that same balanced feel, but with a little more “me” in it, if you catch my drift.
Honestly, it’s been a fun little experiment. It’s cool how much these little details can affect your game. So, if you’re playing “MLB The Show 24”, don’t just pick a random stance. Take some time, try out a few different ones, and see what feels right for you. You might be surprised at how much it helps your hitting. And if you discover any cool ones, share with me!
