Man, I’ve been hyped for this fight all week! Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo, it’s a huge deal, right? A four-belt vs. four-belt showdown, that’s something you don’t see every day. So, naturally, I cleared my schedule for tonight, got some snacks ready, and settled in to watch it live.
First things first, I started looking for how I could watch this thing. I mean, I could probably have gone to a bar or something, but I really wanted to chill at home. Searched for a few minutes about where to stream it.
Then came the hard part – actually watching it. Let me tell you, the anticipation was killing me. I read some pre-fight stuff online. It sounded like a lot of people were saying maybe Canelo wasn’t what he used to be, that he was slowing down. I started to wonder if Charlo might actually pull off an upset.
The Fight
Finally, the fight started! The energy in the T-Mobile Arena was crazy, even through the screen. You could feel how big this was, especially for Canelo, being a legend in Mexico and all.
- Round 1, they were both feeling each other out, you know? A few jabs here and there, nothing too crazy.
- Rounds 2-3, Canelo started to turn it up. He was landing some solid body shots, and Charlo was looking a little shaky.
- By round 7, I was on the edge of my seat. Canelo was dominating, but Charlo was tough. He was taking some serious punishment but kept coming back.
The whole fight was brutal, honestly. Canelo was just relentless. He was in control the entire time. There was never really any doubt who was going to win, which kind of surprised me. I thought it would be closer, to be honest.
In the end, Canelo won, of course. He totally shut down those rumors about him declining. He proved he’s still the king. Charlo was tough, I’ll give him that. But Canelo? He’s just on another level. What a fight! I stayed up way later than I should have, but it was totally worth it. Now I need some sleep!
