Alright, so the other day I wanted to figure out how to sell my loot to the Sovereigns in Sea of Thieves. I’d seen some crews do it, but I wasn’t quite sure how. Turns out, you need to be sailing on a Captained ship to do this. So first things first, I bought a ship. Got that sorted.
Next, I gathered up a bunch of treasure, you know, the usual pirate stuff. Now, from what I read, you can sell pretty much anything to the Sovereigns. Even fish! The only things they won’t take are those Reaper chests, other ships’ emissary flags or logbooks, and that NPC merchant delivery stuff. Good to know.
So, I sailed my Captained ship over to the Sovereigns’ spot. I’d heard you should dock your ship near their hut. Once I got there, I saw this harpoon thing mounted on the hut. Apparently, you’re supposed to use that to grab treasure from your ship. And that works, sometimes. I used it to pull the treasure onto this lift they have there. That part was actually pretty cool.
But, man, it was a bit of a mess. Only works maybe 10% of the time? I saw someone online saying it’s faster to just pile everything up at the tip of your bowsprit and then park your ship with the bowsprit right inside the tent. Sounded wild, but I gave it a shot. It actually worked okay! I also tried docking a rowboat right next to the Sovereign, and that worked too.
Here’s what I found worked best for me:
- Get a Captained ship: You can’t sell to the Sovereigns without one.
- Load up the bowsprit: Seriously, just pile everything on the front of your ship.
- Park it close: Get that bowsprit as close to the Sovereign’s tent as possible.
- Use the harpoon: If it works for you, then do it.
- Rowboat, maybe?: It’s an option if you want to try it out.
Honestly, it’s a bit of a hassle, but once you get the hang of it, it’s not so bad. Just be prepared to get a little creative with your parking. And remember, you can sell almost anything to these guys, so make that gold!
