Okay, so today I wanna talk about something that I’ve been messing around with lately – crossword puzzles. Specifically, I tried to figure out this “lines of praise” thing, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey.
First off, I went to the page for my puzzle. I saw this checkbox for answers, so I thought, “Hey, maybe this will give me some hints.” I checked it and hit the “Print” button, thinking I could maybe get an answer key or something. It didn’t really help much, though.
Then, I decided to do some digging online. I just searched for “lines of praise crossword” and started going through the results. There were a bunch of websites that claimed to have the answer. They were talking about it being in the LA Times crossword, so I guess it’s a pretty common clue.
Here’s what I found:
- One site said there were like 40 possible answers. 40! That’s a lot.
- Another one mentioned 30 answers, which was a bit better, but still, it was overwhelming.
- Some of them were specifically talking about a 4-letter answer, and others were just listing a whole bunch of possibilities.
I spent a good chunk of time going through these different answers, trying to see which one made the most sense. It was like trying to find a needle in a haystack, seriously. I looked at clue answers from different dates, like October 28, 2023, and December 20, just to see if there was a pattern or something.
After a while, I finally narrowed it down. I think I found the right one, but honestly, it could be any of them. I am just so tired.
So yeah, that was my adventure with the “lines of praise” crossword clue. It was definitely more complicated than I expected. It’s crazy how many different answers there can be for just one little clue. Next time, I might just try a different puzzle, ha!
