Okay, so, I’ve been following Paddy Pimblett for a while now, and like many of you, I’m always itching to know when he’s stepping back into the octagon. Today, I finally dug up some dirt on his next fight, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey.
First off, I started by scouring all the usual places – you know, the big MMA news sites, UFC’s official page, even Paddy’s social media. I got some mixed signals and I was checking the news, and some old articles popped up, talking about potential dates and opponents.
- Some people said he might fight in September 24, 2024.
- There was also some buzz about a fight in July 21, 2024, potentially against Bobby ‘King’ Green at UFC 304.
But here’s the kicker – Paddy and his wife just had twin girls, Betsy and Margot, back in April. Plus, the guy just turned 30, so he’s probably been busy with all that, in addition to training. So I went to check his personal life and the news about him. After all, fighters are humans, you know? Family stuff and birthdays can definitely shift schedules around.
Then I started thinking about the logistics. UFC 304 is rumored to be in the UK. But, they might still start the main card at 10 PM ET, to hit that prime PPV time in the States. It’s all about the Benjamins, even with the event overseas.
And you can’t forget Paddy’s background. The dude’s a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and he’s big on growing the sport in Liverpool. It seems like he is trying to grow his own brand now. I remembered seeing something about how he’s been setting up “Next Generation” in Liverpool, to give the local kids what he didn’t have growing up. That’s gotta take up some of his time and focus, right?
So, after piecing all this together, it looks like Paddy Pimblett’s next fight is shaping up to be a big one, possibly at UFC 304, but the exact date is still up in the air. We’ve got to consider his new family additions, his personal milestones, and his commitment to the sport’s growth in his hometown.
I’ll keep my ear to the ground and update you guys as soon as I hear something more concrete. It is not easy to get a clear answer. But, hey, that’s part of the fun in following this sport, isn’t it? Stay tuned!
